Bass Manor, "A Living Museum"

The Bass Manor Bed and Breakfast is located on a
fourteen acre historic estate, 10 minutes from downtown Saratoga
Springs,
the pristine setting is a sanctuary for wildlife, deer and wild
turkeys. The Bass Manor offers you the charms of luxurious
country estate accommodations.
The grounds feature two unique buildings. An
original, Adirondack Camp built in 1927 by Charles Bass that
transports you to another era and the new Bass Manor Bed and
Breakfast that also is a Living Museum. Cassandra Dooley, the
owner and proprietor of The Bass Manor created a unique
structure that welcomes guests into a museum setting. There is a
permanent collection and gallery that features painting,
photography, sculpture, and furniture design. Art is
incorporated throughout the building, blending the classical
with 20th Century Modernism all interior details and furnishings
connect with the art creating a truly unique experience for the
visitor to The Bass Manor.

The first floor of this bed and breakfast has a
stunning kitchen that opens up to the dining area, guests can
then go to the the
common area that has a wood burning granite fireplace or they
can relax on the wrap around porch. A mahogany staircase takes
you to the gallery area, the Garden and Pine suites, and an
indoor porch that has floor to ceiling windows overlooking the
grounds, and another wood burning fireplace for guests to enjoy.
Guests can roam the grounds and visit the
Adirondack Camp on the property. Breakfast includes fresh brewed
coffee, assorted juices, fresh fruits, bacon or sausage, egg
entree, muffins and other pastries. |
